Overview The Secretaria de Salud del Estado de Tamaulipas is a decentralized body, responsible for organizing, administrating, directing, and controlling the delivery of health services, public assistance, and welfare throughout the state of Tamaulipas. The organization wanted to consolidate disparate systems to establish a system of budgetary control over payroll expenses in order to assure good administration and transparency of processes in the use of the secretariat's funds. The challenge was to centralize current and historical information in one reliable and highly available database in a Web environment. The Secretaria de Salud del Estado de Tamaulipas accelerated access to historical information on payments from two weeks to minutes with Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.
