Overview The Microsoft IT operates the company's internal networks, telecommunication systems, corporate servers, and line-of-business applications. In a two-year process, Microsoft managers certified as Six Sigma practitioners introduced Six Sigma principles to the IT staff and gradually incorporated the methods into Microsoft IT operations. Microsoft IT engaged Immedient, a Microsoft Gold Certified Solutions Provider, to deploy the Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Six Sigma to supply the knowledge management, financial management, and collaboration tools that IT needed to run Six Sigma projects more successfully.
