Bergendahls Tackles Rapid Growth With SAP Retail Software and IBM
Overview BergendahlsGruppen AB is a family-owned retail and wholesale company based in southern Sweden. Bergendahls needed to cope with almost a doubling of turnover, requiring an immediate upgrade to its core business management systems. The company aimed to consolidate multiple different systems to a single server, capable of growing further to meet its expansion plans. Bergendahls worked with IBM Global Business Services to implement an IBM System i5 570 solution, running both AIX and i5/OS, to support its SAP software, OS/400-based systems, and Windows-based systems (via an IBM Integrated xSeries Adapter).
