Cisco Converged Voice, Video and Data Infrastructure Helps Eliminate Distance in Medical Services

Overview New England Area Health Service (NEAHS) wanted to create a single, high-speed voice, video and data network, connecting more than 32 health facilities across the region. Cisco Systems provided the networking infrastructure for an Internet-Protocol (IP) based health care solution, designed to improve medical services in rural New South Wales. The network, managed and deployed by Telstra and Dimension Data, helps to improve the provision of healthcare to more than 175,000 residents spread over an area of 100,000 square kilometres within the NEAHS.
