Defense Supplier to Boost On-Time Delivery by 20 Percent and Save $500,000 Annually
Overview Ball Aerospace wanted to improve the scheduling and delivery of its projects in order to increase competitiveness and boost revenues. To do so, it needed to replace its decentralized scheduling processes with a centralized process. Ball Aerospace designed and documented that process using Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003, a component of the Microsoft Office System. With the new schedule process, the company estimates it will cut the time to create and maintain new proposals and program schedules by as much as 50 percent. Now, it is evaluating an enterprise project management solution based on Microsoft Office Project Server 2003. With a centralized scheduling tool, the company estimates that it could improve on-time deliveries by 20 percent.
