Bredbaand Nord Launches Video Service Over Cisco IP Next-Generation Network

Overview Bredbaand Nord was established by three local utility companies wanting to invest in the development of Vendsyssel and Han Herred in Northern Jutland, Denmark. The company wanted to expand their capabilities beyond legacy services into new, complex areas such as delivering video, voice and data. Cisco along with the company Bredbaand Nord launched video services over a Cisco Internet Protocol Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) platform comprising a headend from Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company and a Cisco Ethernet Fiber-To-The-Home (E-FTTH) network.
