VERITAS Backup Exec 10.0 for Windows Servers Using the NetWare Remote Agent
Overview VERITAS Backup Exec 10.0 for Windows Servers introduces a significant upgrade in terms of providing backup and restore services for Novell NetWare servers. This release uses an updated NetWare Remote Agent technology that provides access to Agent Accelerated Backup and Restore services as well as Open File Option to the NetWare platform. Using this agent, users of Backup Exec can back up the NetWare file system, Novell Directory Services (NDS) and GroupWise databases on NetWare servers. This paper describes in detail how to configure and use VERITAS Backup Exec 10.0 for Windows Servers to back up and restore remote Novell NetWare servers using the Remote Agent for NetWare (RANW).
