Intel Wireless MMX Technology: Power-Efficient Multimedia for Handhelds

Overview Intel Wireless MMX technology is a high-performance, low-power, 64-bit multimedia coprocessor for the Intel XScale processor family. It is a media-enhancement technology that exploits data parallelism. Wireless MMX technology gives developers all the components for developing, debugging and running multimedia applications on a handheld platform. And Wireless MMX technology offers its powerful new capabilities in a model already familiar to programmers who have used Intel MMX and integer Intel SSE (Streaming SIMD Extensions). Wireless MMX technology gives a significant performance boost to many applications, including motion video, combined graphics with video, image processing, speech synthesis and compression, telephony, and more. Wireless MMX technology can improve almost any application that performs calculations on integer data in a repetitive and sequential manner.
