E-Business Integration Using Advanced Queuing

Overview At this stage of the Internet revolution it is clear that every enterprise has to become an e- business. It is an imperative and not a choice, no longer a question of whether, but when and how. So what exactly is an e-business? E-business defines the ways in which organizations fundamentally change how they conduct business using Internet technology. To become an e-business, a variety of Internet-enabled applications are required: e-commerce web sites, portals, supply-chain management, procurement management, online marketplaces, customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning. The challenge is to not only Internet-enable existing applications but also to integrate new and existing applications. This paper talks about the technical requirements of e-business integration and how advanced queuing in Oracle9i addresses these challenges.
