Characterization of an Oracle 10g Ultra-Large Database Using HP-UX Q White Paper

Overview This paper describes performance characterization testing of an HP Integrity Superdome server and an HP StorageWorks XP12000 Disk Array in an Oracle 10g environment. HP constructed an HP-UX, Oracle 10g Superdome and SAN storage configuration to perform proof-of-concept testing for an HP customer. The purpose of the testing was to create a database environment that provided the performance and availability required for an enterprise-class datawarehouse environment.
