Overview Intel upgraded its HR management system to a faster, less expensive Intel Itanium 2 processor-based platform, providing reliable access on a stable and scalable system. The new system increases usability and throughput for HR professionals, provides fast and reliable access for Intel employees worldwide, and offers a stable platform for future changes. The upgrade to the new Human Resources Management System (HRMS) software running on an Itanium 2 processor based platform resulted in lower costs. For example, using commodity servers lowered both the initial purchase price and ongoing maintenance costs, and the operating system is an enterprise licensed version that is used throughout Intel.
