Measuring Employee Work Habits to Determine IT Requirements

Overview Intel IT studied employee work behavior in eight key countries to determine whether location influenced the types of IT products and services they needed. The authors identified countries that might exhibit above average headcount growth during the next five or six years. They then selected about 250 employees from each of these countries for their study. They examined factors that affect employee productivity, such as workspace usage, telecommuting, commute times, and team collaboration methods. They found that geographic location has a strong influence on the way their employees work and how they'll need to support them in the future.
