Biotechnology Firm Strengthens Project Management Practices, Increases R&D Projects
Overview Chiron Corporation develops pharmaceuticals and blood-screening agents at facilities worldwide. However, the company encountered issues with project management integration. Irregular project data and inaccurate resource reporting delayed product launches and cost the company revenue. Chiron brought in Microsoft Certified Partner Pcubed to help find a solution. The company deployed the Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solution throughout the Blood Testing Division at Chiron. The solution helped centralize project management and produce accurate data through its interconnected project software. It is now easier for the division to foresee potential problems and to better allocate its resources. With the new insight into its projects, the division found that it could increase its project capacity from 3 to 5 projects annually to 8 to 12.
