Northrop Grumman Group Improves Resource Management With New Solution

Overview Northrop Grumman Corporation is a global aerospace and defense company. In recent years, its Airborne Early Warning and Electronic Warfare Systems (AEW & EWS) Business Area underwent rapid growth, which caused some project management practices suitable for smaller projects to become inefficient for larger contract and project engagements. Because its project management processes were based on nonintegrated software, the business area could not access current resource data, which could lead to delays. To resolve those issues, AEW & EWS chose the Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management Solution and contracted with INS to develop an enterprise solution for resource planning. The system integrates project management software with the group's SAP solution, creating access to real-time information. It also standardizes data and helps ensure accurate information.
