Overview Founded in 1993, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is one of the world's leading biopharmaceutical companies. The company wanted to improve ability to more efficiently and effectively manage the company's financial and process manufacturing environments. The challenge was to facilitate management of a broader product set - both clinical and investigational and deploy an IT infrastructure that facilitates validation and management in a highly regulated environment. The company replaced disparate legacy applications and spreadsheet-based systems with Oracle E-Business Suite applications for manufacturing, purchasing, and financial management to create a reliable and integrated IT infrastructure that enables improved visibility of critical business data. The company also implemented Oracle Purchasing, Oracle iProcurement, and leveraged OSN to enable real-time collaboration with suppliers.
