Comision Nacional de Proteccion Social en Salud Integrates Information and Achieves High Availability
Overview The commission wanted to unify and integrate information into a single platform and Database. The challenge was to distribute credentials for health sector beneficiaries in a quick, effective, and safe way as well as guarantee the availability of reliable information online and in real time, avoiding loss and redundancy of beneficiary data among various healthcare units. The commission used Oracle Database to integrate information from across the organization, creating the largest single database in the country with a registry of 50 million inhabitants. The commission also established a flexible and scalable technology infrastructure and created and managed distribution of 3.7 million "Smart cards" to beneficiaries.
