PICC Life Insurance Ensures 24-Hour Availability for Core Business System
Overview Headquartered in Beijing, PICC Life Insurance Company Limited provides a range of life insurance products. The company wanted to select a stable, expandable, and high performing platform to run core business system. The challenge was to ensure that the solution features business logic processing at the front, middle, and back-end to avoid performance bottlenecks. They wanted to choose effective, easy-to-use development tools to meet tight deadline and complex, changing requirements. PICC engaged Oracle Partner eBaoTech Corporation to build a two-node database platform and a middleware platform with multiple nodes using Oracle Database with Oracle Real Application Clusters 10g, and Oracle Application Server 10g. By deploying the Oracle solution, PICC ensured high availability and reliable performance through the use of clustering technology.
