Podcasting Hacks: Build a Simple Sound Cart for Macintosh
Overview Having sample sounds close at hand is important for podcasters. Using AppleScript Studio, the user can quickly build a standalone application with whatever interface he or she wants to control the recording application (e.g., Audio Hijack Pro) and play the samples at the touch of a button. First the author started with Xcode, which is available to Apple Developer Connection members (online membership is free), and quite possibly on one's Mac's hard drive in /Applications/ Installers/Xcode Tools. With Xcode, the author created a new AppleScript Application project using the New Project command.
