Shanghai Government Commission Moves Forward With Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

Overview Shanghai Sci-Tech Information Centre (SSTIC) provides information systems for the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission to support the advancement of e-government and an information-based society. SSTIC provides and maintains IT systems to help the commission automate its functions and services. SSTIC sought to extend its messaging capabilities and gain support for 64-bit computing and advanced storage architectures. SSTIC upgraded the messaging system of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission to Exchange Server 2007. The commission began using the new features of the software. The commission especially welcomed the advanced filtering features for unsolicited e-mail messages, including connection filtering, sender/recipient selection, intelligent filtering, and the spam filtering for the Microsoft Office Outlook messaging and collaboration client.
