Malaysian Inland Revenue Board Speeds Up Decision Making Process With Push Email

Overview The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) collects taxes on behalf of the Malaysian Government. Its ageing messaging system could not keep pace with the changing communications needs of an increasingly mobile workforce; and a lack of Web mail messaging and wireless email access hindered effective communications and productivity within IRB. Impressed by the unified communications approach of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, IRB implemented a pilot project. The new platform offers IRB employees multiple access options including web mail and push email for mobile devices. Staff productivity and collaboration saw a boost with the rich set of productivity tools such as contacts, calendars and tasks.
