CPGmarket.com: The European Exchange for the Consumer Goods Industry
Overview The marketplace was set up by Nestle, Danone, Henkel and SAP Markets on the mySAP.com e-business platform. In the summer of 2000 pilot projects began where members could, for example, order from online catalogs. In mid October the electronic platform was opened up to new members, including consumer goods manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials, packaging and services. Even smaller suppliers and manufacturers without their own Back Office system can simply use their browser to gain access to the marketplace. Companies also have access to the marketplace using links in ERP systems such as SAP R/3.At the beginning of December, 23 additional companies joined the marketplace which went live in October.
