Manufacturer Cuts Manual Deployments by 60 Per Cent With Optimised Infrastructure

Overview LUMENE Group is a leader in beauty and hygiene products across the Nordic region. To maintain competitive advantage, the business needed to update its Finland-based infrastructure and roll out a standardised desktop with centralised management tools for more responsive administration. LUMENE Group joined the Microsoft Infrastructure Optimisation Initiative for an effective roadmap to develop the network. Subsequently, the group deployed a standardised infrastructure consisting of Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory directory services, with Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2003 Professional on desktops. Now, IT administrators have centralised management tools - reducing manual software deployments by 60 per cent. The consolidated server infrastructure is also ready for cost-effective developments in the future.
