Construction Firm Integrates Messaging Systems, Improves Communication, Productivity

Overview Daelim Industrial Company is a Korean international construction and engineering firm founded in 1939, with more than 3,000 employees worldwide. The company was using two separate systems for email: a UNIX-based groupware product for internal communications, and an Internet system for external communications. Daelim wanted to improve administrator efficiency and enable enhanced collaboration by integrating the two systems. The company chose to work with Daelim I&S to deploy Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, and Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Now Daelim has an integrated web-based end-to-end messaging and collaboration system that reduces Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and IT complexity, improves security and enhances user experience and productivity.
