SAP Case Study: Telephone and Data Systems Inc. (TDS)

Overview Telephone and Data Systems Inc. (TDS) needed a solution that would allow the organization to improve upon its work flow and sharpen its business processes. Comprised of four distinct companies, United States Cellular Corporation, TDS Telecommunications Corporation, American Paging, Inc. and American Portable Telecom, Inc., TDS needed to develop a solution that could offer business process integration while still being able to fit each organization's unique needs. TDS needed a software solution that could grow with them, and evolve to keep up with a changing industry. The solution had to be fully integrated if it were to fit with the organization's work flows. SAP R/3 allows the company to have world-class business practices.
