Intel Compilers for Linux - Compatibility With the GNU Compilers

Overview The Intel C++ and Fortran compilers for Linux give application developers access to the advanced architecture of the Intel Pentium 4 and Intel Xeon processors as well as the Intel Itanium processor family. This paper describes the compatibility of the Intel compilers for Linux with the GNU compilers including new features added in the 6.0 version. The source or language compatibility, binary or object file compatibility and command line option compatibility are described for the Intel C++ compiler for Linux followed by the Intel Fortran compiler for Linux. The customer feedback section explains how to request additional compatibility.
