Software-as-a-Service Provider Broadens Customer Base by Porting Solution to Windows

Overview RevCat initially designed its solution using Java and open-source development tools. But the company encountered problems marketing the solution to its target customer base. These included compatibility with existing enterprise systems, lack of client expertise in managing Java and open-source solutions, and difficulty integrating the service with popular business software such as the Microsoft Office Outlook messaging and collaboration client. Working with Symphony Services, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and NXT Delivery Partner, RevCat moved its solution to the Windows operating system. Symphony helped develop and host the new solution, using Microsoft technologies such as the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, the Visual Studio 2005 development system, and the Visual C++ development system.
