Heart Hospital of Austin Finds the Cure for Shrinking Storage Capacity

Overview Open since December of 1998, Heart Hospital of Austin is a specialty care facility dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This 58-bed hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care, and a 24-hour full service Emergency Center. The hospital wanted to find a cost-effective solution for storing and managing a vastly growing library of medical image files without having to install HBA cards in existing servers. The company stored medical images on Nexsan's 21 TB SATABeast RAID array and access and manage them over IP with SANRAD's V-Switch 3000 iSCSI switch.
