Hospital Moves to Electronic Records and Reduces Record Delinquency by 84 Percent

Overview CaroMont Health is a healthcare system that serves the southwest region of North Carolina. When the organization's central hospital needed to replace its clinical information system, the records department urged CaroMont to digitize its paper-based patient records at the same time. CaroMont deployed the Siemens Soarian Health Information Management system, which runs on the Windows Server operating system and Microsoft SQL Server database software. The move to electronic patient records has helped CaroMont improve patient care by providing medical staff with broad and immediate access to patient health data.
