SYMX Improves Patient Safety and Inventory Visibility Using BizTalk RFID
Overview Every year, hospitals must over-purchase equipment and supplies by 20 to 30 percent to compensate for lost and stolen items. SYMX supports hospital staff and patients by delivering visibility and rules-based workflows in the healthcare setting. With the help of Microsoft and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Innovative Architects, SYMX used Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 to create the Asset Tracking Location Accountability System (ATLAS) - an automated and adaptive solution for inventory visibility and managed workflow that dramatically improves patient safety. The companies developed the solution in only four months using the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition development system and the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.0.
