Overview Formed in 2001, privately held Aspen Aerogels is the acknowledged leader in aerogel technology. The company wanted to replace legacy systems and Excel spreadsheets with scalable, standardized applications that will accommodate the company's continued growth and improve decision-making processes and productivity by implementing integrated applications that provide visibility across the organization. The challenge was to enable precision tracking of sales pipeline activity to help determine the necessary production speed and create a global supply chain network. The company implemented Oracle E-Business Suite applications for process manufacturing, purchasing, and financials to manage data in one system, react more quickly to sales and production needs, and scale for future growth.
