A Java Front-End Approach for Programming Mobile Agents
Overview A mobile agent is a program that moves around a network such as the Internet, exhibiting properties of migration, communication, access control of resources, and making reference to remote resources. Some attempts to add mobile agent features on Java have done, however, no existing Java-based mobile agent programming system implements all of the above properties. To fill this need, the paper proposes a Java-based mobile agent programming system named APSL(Agent Programming System and Language) in this paper along with its design and implementation. Using APSL, the state of a mobile agent is automatically preserve and resumed when it migrates. A communication protocol between agents is dynamically selected by the system according to the condition of resources.
