A Robust Integrity Reporting Protocol for Remote Attestation
Overview Trusted Computing Platforms provide the functionality of remote attestation, i.e. attesting the configuration and status of a system to a remote entity. Remote attestation hereby proves integrity and authenticity of system environments. This is crucial for policy enforcement, which in turn is needed in many usage scenarios, e.g., DRM. However, applying remote attestation solely allows masquerading attacks. These attacks are possible since the concept of remote attestation does not provide any means for establishing secured communication channels. This paper describes this kind of attacks against protocols for remote attestation and presents a protocol for preventing masquerading attacks.

Understanding Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1w)
Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP IEEE 802.1w) can be seen as an evolution of the 802.1d standard more than a revolution. In most cases, RSTP performs better than Cisco's proprietary...
Framework for Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge-to-Edge (PWE3)
This document describes a framework for Pseudo Wires Emulation Edge- to-Edge (PWE3). It discusses the emulation of circuits (such as T1, E1, T3, E3 and SONET/SDH)...
UTP vs. STP: A Comparison of Cables, Systems, and Performance Carrying High-Data-Rate Signals
Recently, debate has arisen on the advantages and disadvantages of shielded twisted pair (STP) cable and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Advocates of STP cable (a category that includes screened...
Understanding Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1s)
Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) is a new IEEE standard inspired from the Cisco proprietary Multiple Instances Spanning Tree Protocol (MISTP) implementation. This white paper provides a detailed description for this...
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) In Enterprise Class IP Telephony Networks
