Momentum Webcast: Introduction to the Microsoft Core Infrastructure Optimization Model (Level 100)

Overview Infrastructure Optimization (IO) is the systematic process of reducing the complexity and costs associated with managing an IT infrastructure while improving its security and stability to achieve enhanced productivity for both those who support the infrastructure and those who use the infrastructure to accomplish the goals of the business. Microsoft developed the Infrastructure Optimization Model (IOM) using industry best practices and experience with customers. The IOM provides a framework for identifying the people, processes, and technology of an IT infrastructure and describes four levels of maturity through which those IT capabilities can evolve for greater strategic value to the organization. Infrastructure optimization is not a one-time event.
