Dell OpenManage Client Instrumentation (OMCI): Support for the Common Information Model

Overview Dell OpenManage Systems Management products can play a significant role in managing costs throughout the life cycle of a networked client computer. The core of Dell's client management capabilities is provided through the Dell OpenManage Client Instrumentation (OMCI) software agent. Using standard interfaces, OMCI exposes key system parameters that enable administrators to manage, inventory, monitor, and gather information on deployed Dell client computers. Customers can help reduce their total cost of ownership using CIM and Alert Standard Format (ASF) technologies. The latest version of OMCI enables Dell client systems to be managed using CIM and ASF standards. Dell has embraced CIM and ASF as the preferred management standard for client systems.
