Adesso's Tubes Enables Fast, Secure File Sharing
Overview Boston-based Adesso Systems provides a Web-based content replication and collaboration platform called Tubes. Sharing information and images quickly and efficiently with friends and co-workers can be challenging, especially if the people are miles or continents apart. E-mail and instant messaging technologies can help bridge the gap, but they aren't well suited to exchanging large files such as photos, videos and documents. A tube by Adesso synchronizes and manages access to the contents of each tube using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 capabilities. The Web services environment for exchanging data between a Tubes storage server and a user's PC runs on the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft ASP.NET, Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0, and IIS Server.
