Unified Messaging Enhances Employee Productivity and Services at Local Authority
Overview The City of Deventer in the Netherlands wants to be one of the top 10 local authorities for delivering excellent services to area residents. City employees rely on e-mail and the telephone to complete their daily tasks and meet the organization's goals. The city wanted to improve its employees' mobile access to e-mail, to encourage personnel to work in the community. It chose a unified-messaging solution built on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. With Microsoft Office Outlook Voice Access, personnel can manage their e-mail using any phone while out of the office. They can have their e-mail read to them and choose to delete it or respond to it immediately through their phone.
