Korea Telecom Delivers Video On Demand
Overview Korea Telecom (KT), a leading broadband service provider in Korea, planned to roll out one of the nation's first Video On Demand (VOD) to over five million Internet broadband subscribers. Since this was the first service of its kind that seamlessly weds the users' personal computers with their televisions, references were few and far between. In planning the service, KT underwent an extensive investigation phase, looking at various technological aspects of delivering such a service, leading to the eventual adoption of Windows Media 9 Series as the underlying technology.
