Trade Association Moves to Improve Efficiency by 50 Percent With Increased Service

Overview The American Gas Association (AGA) is the advocate for 197 natural gas companies across the United States and their 56 million customers. AGA sought a better way to manage its many documents, which were stored on individual hard disk drives or in shared files, as well as an automated process for gathering data and responding to member questions. The association is working with Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Susquehanna Technologies to deploy a solution based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Preliminary estimates indicate that AGA could receive cost savings of more than U.S.$15,000 in 2007, based on process efficiencies and improved data access, and achieve a 50 percent reduction in response times to member inquiries.
