Wireless Fusion Sensor Network (WFSN)

Overview This paper proposes Wireless Fusion Sensor Network (WFSN) consisting of two domains, i.e., fusion sensor and wireless fusion network domains. In the fusion sensor domain, detecting and tracking of target objects are performed based on particle filter based position estimation, and the estimates from RFID/acoustic sensors (rasensors) are compensated by image generated by visual sensors after delivering through wireless fusion network domain. From WFSN traffic pattern analysis, the paper shows the WFSN needs to separate traffic for high Successful Compensation Rate (SCR). For the traffic separation, the paper classifies the WFSN traffic to four classes (rasensor, visual sensor, WFSN control, and monitoring data) which are manipulated by Weight Round Robin (WRR) at each WFSN router.
