Ford Otosan Builds on NetApp SAN and NAS Solution for Faultless Disaster Recovery in an Earthquake Zone

Overview Ford Otosan is a joint venture between Ford Motor Company, the highly respected global automotive manufacturer, and Koc Holding, Turkey's leading conglomerate. The company wanted to support explosive growth and ensure uninterrupted availability. The company also wanted to ensure DR in an earthquake zone and streamline infrastructure management. A thorough review of storage solutions yielded a choice of two alternatives: a NetApp unified storage solution or a dedicated Fibre Channel SAN. The IT team ultimately selected the NetApp solution because it offered the highest levels of availability and protection at a lower total cost of ownership.
