Overview Folksamerica Reinsurance Company is a leading multiline broker market reinsurer and a wholly owned subsidiary of White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. The Folksamerica vision involved the virtualization of user workstations using Citrix software to provide reliable, secure, and device- and location-independent access to information companywide. To support this goal, the IT team was tasked with building a storage infrastructure that would deliver maximum uptime, enable disaster recovery within hours, improve efficiency, facilitate rapid growth, and require minimal administrative resources. After several months of evaluation, the Folksamerica team determined that the optimal solution for their Citrix MetaFrame environment would involve Network Appliance storage.
