Storage Management White Papers

First American Bank Replaces EMC to Standardize on NetApp for Simplified Storage Management Enterprisewide

Overview First American Bank, an Illinois-chartered, full-service commercial and retail bank, has more than 40 branch locations in the greater Chicago area. The bank wanted to dramatically increase storage capacity and performance and simplify enterprisewide storage management. The bank also wanted to perform rapid disaster recovery and reduce storage management costs. NetApp provided First American with a pilot system to test in the data center. The bank performed its due diligence and ended up migrating and consolidating all of the NetWare data to the NetApp FAS while utilizing iSCSI connectivity for the remainder of the Lotus Notes data, Oracle, and VMware.
