Overview For half a century, Caterpillar dealer MAIA has led the market in earthmoving, construction, and energy machinery sales and service throughout central and southern Italy, Sardinia, Sicily, Malta, and Albania. MAIA's customer service orientation has led the company to set up a vast sales and service network offering the best possible customized service. The challenge was to improve customer service by providing sales staff with accessible customer information and to support post-sales service staff that spends most of their time on-site assisting customers with planning. Working with Innovia Tech, the company implemented Oracle Database and Oracle Database Lite to recover and standardize existing data residing on diverse technology platforms - creating a reliable, high performance platform.
