Phidgets and Windows CE: Understanding Threading and Invoking With Windows CE

Overview When creating .NET applications for the PC, programers rarely need be concerned with how Phidgets use threads. The Phidget API handles the transfer of information between threads. However, due to limitations of the .NET compact framework, the framework used by Windows CE, programmers must explicitly handle thread protection and related errors. Though this paper specifically discusses Windows CE, the problems explained here also occur in more complicated programs for the PC.
