New Era of Customer-Centric P&C Billing
Overview With vanishing investment income and a more competitive marketplace, insurers have been focusing on simplifying customer-facing business transactions and on providing effective value-added services, so as to build a partnership of trust with their customers. Traditionally P&C insurers have been focusing on sales and claims processes to achieve these goals. As a consequence, billing, which is another key process, has been on the back-burner for quite some time. This paper explains why billing and accounting should indeed be viewed as services to the customer rather than as a back office operation.
