Embedded Ajax: Web 2.0 Optimized for Mobile Devices
Overview ACCESS has been a leading developer of Internet-compatible mobile browser solutions since it first submitted the Compact HTML specification to W3C in 1998. Compact HTML went on to become the basis for NTT DoCoMo's popular i-mode service. To date, ACCESS' NetFront Browser has been deployed in over 300 million devices and the latest version, NetFront Browser v3.5 provides state-of-the-art technologies that bring Web 2.0 to the mobile market. This paper describes the concept and design principles of Embedded Ajax, an Ajax implementation that is optimized for mobile devices. This paper also describes ACCESS' vision for the optimal Web 2.0 applications for the rapidly growing mobile market.
