Six Flags Centralizes Backups for Regional Theme Parks, Reducing Cost and Improving Data Protection
Overview Six Flags, Inc. is the world's largest regional theme park company, operating a total of 29 parks in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company wanted to minimize the need for local IT expertise at individual parks. The challenge was to update aging infrastructure to better support park operations and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulations. Six Flags deployed NetApp FAS3020 systems in each park store local data, which is replicated with NetApp SnapMirror software to a FAS3050 system in the corporate datacenter.
