Finansbank Restructures Purchasing Process by Establishing Single Department
Overview Founded in 1987, Turkish retail bank Finansbank will be operating with 330 branches in Turkey by the end of March 2007. It has the biggest investment and overseas network of any Turkish bank. Finansbank offers financial services for both commercial and retail banking consumers and also offers a network of ATMs, as well as online banking services. The challenge was to establish a single purchasing cycle, integrate all purchasing activities across branches and regions, and speed approval cycles and reduce cost, while improving the efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of purchasing activities across the organization. Purchasing and technical services department worked with Oracle and Experteam to implement Oracle applications for financials, procurement, inventory management, and asset management and coordinated purchasing activities across the organization.
