Entice - Embedding Firefox in Tk

Overview This paper describes Entice - a Tcl/Tk extension that allows multiple Firefox windows to be embedded into Tk and controlled from a Tcl/Tk application. Entice brings to Tcl/Tk applications on X11 similar functionality to that provided by using Internet Explorer and Optcl on Windows. The paper describes the use of the TkXext extension to embed Firefox, the use of web technologies (XUL, Javascript and AJAX) and a small embedded web server for communication with Firefox.
