Truck Manufacturer Increases Sales, Cuts Development Costs, Boosts Agility

Overview Volvo Trucks North America wanted to make it faster and easier for fleet customers and dealers to do business with the company, as part of its commitment to provide the industry's leading customer support. So, Volvo replaced its aftermarket fleet parts purchasing program with a real-time solution - MV Preferred - that connects customers, dealers, and the original equipment manufacturer through a common network. Volvo adopted a custom solution based on a range of Microsoft technologies and engaged Spring2 Technologies, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, to develop components. The results: customer and dealer feedback is overwhelmingly positive; parts sales have grown at double-digit rates; development costs were substantially less than estimated; and Volvo gained the agility to implement business enhancements.
